The great old building and walking the halls with friends before and between classes. The smell of new Levis when school started in September.
Miss Parsley was a new teacher in english and typing and all of the guys were struck by this pretty redhead. She took control of the classroom and let everyone know she was in control. She had us all go in front of the class and act out something of our choice. I was absolutely petrified to do this but got kudos from her for acting out like I was fishing.
Once she got to know us, she was a lot of fun and an excellent teacher.
I was walking to the stadium for PE with Billy Johns as I remember and when we went by the Panther, he asked if I had ever been in there. I said no (I never even thought about it since I did not smoke and did not wear a black leather jacket and engineer boots).
Billy said, "Well don't go in there wearing your jeans like that."

The 75th Birthday reunion was great and looking forward to 2020 and the 60th reunion. The reunion regulars are the ones I see.
Fly RC model airplanes, photography, beekeeping, observe nature and wildlife, biking and hiking, and trying to keep up with grandkids. Got a new travel trailer in the spring 2015, looking forward to so great travel to National Parks and much more.
Oct 2017 Gave up beekeeping, too much heavy lifting in the Texas heat. My new drone with camera does beautiful aerial photography.
Visit all of the great state parks in Texas and national parks throughout the country. Getting together in Estes Park Colorado this summer 2017 with all the kids and grandkids - it will be a blast!
Oct 2017: We had a great time in June 2017 in Estes Park with all our kids and grand kids. Many wonderful memories.
We live in the country on 60 acres in our "dream house" that Carla, my wife designed. We enjoy small town life and watching the birds, deer and other wildlife. A great place for our grandkids to visit.
We need more pictures of all of our classmates and families. Oct 2017 So put those smart phone to good use!

So sorry to hear of Jim's death but enjoyed his obituary very much! He had a full life and a great sense of humor. Back in the days at Weaver School he was Jimmy and always a nice guy. We were in school together at Pipkin, Central and 2 years at SMS. It was great to get reacquainted during our recent reunions.
I had a wonderful 80th Birthday dinner for myself and invited 42 friends. A gracious friend took pictures and made me a wonderful book with great pictures to save as a fond memory. I plan to write names with the faces so as memory fades I will have some notes to go by. Living in a small town and being active in the community has blessed me with the acquaintance of many good people that have become friends. I put some pictures on the TV like the ones attached which were a big hit during dinner. So glad I got these fine folks together to celebrate friendship.

Hi Carolyn,
I was scanning our classmates and was thinking about Ken Carter and remember he was having some health issues. He was always so vibrant whenever we met at their clubhouse during Friday night reunions. I saw your note to him and wanted to touch base. Sorry to hear of your fall, injuries are tough at our age! I wish you further recovery. Sure wish another reunion was planned but it appears as though we may have "aged out". Take care, Terry & Carla
Hey Jim, Happy 80th Birthday! Just celebrated mine with a group of friends and it was great. Your profile smile reminded me of your upbeat demeanor way back in '60. I too always enjoyed biking and got myself an electric bike with fat tires to ride on our gravel roads. Love that electric boost on the hills!

Our kitty Max was getting acquainted with a young deer in our back yard. They were both very curious and interacted well. Max is one of 3 kittens from Molly's litter of 7 born last October. She came to us a year ago as a feral cat and now lives a great life with us. The other 4 kittens are in 2 separate homes where they are very much loved like these 3 brothers are.

Just read of Bill Hanson's passing. I remember Mr. Hanson's math class, trigonometry as I recall. He used to tease me in class which was sort of fun for me as I was pretty shy. So long ago to remember but I am sure I learned a lot and know it was enjoyable. Hard to believe he was just 10 years older that us. He was blessed with a good full life.

Suzy we are thinking of you and praying for your healing and recovery. You are one of the strongest fighters that I know and you will whip this illness! I love the times we have spent together during our reunions and visiting with you during the planning. Better times are ahead when we can meet again. We love you! Terry & Carla

Suzy, thanks for letting us know well in advance of the cancellation of our reunion. We agree with this decision and look forward to 2021 reunion. Carla and I are doing fine here at home but miss seeing family and events like our reunion.
Thoughts and prayers going to Jack and Susan Gillham in the death of their son David. The loss of a child or any young person is so difficult and hard to understand.
At our age we must expect to slow down and enjoy each day to the fullest. I have just started a 6 month regimen of chemotherapy to fight non-hodgkins lymphoma that has spread to my bones. I have enjoyed a healthy life and aside from many Senior Moments and less energy, I am doing well. Friends and family are the essence of what encourages me to enjoy every day and connecting with our classmates is most fulfilling.

A year ago I completed my Proton Therapy for prostate cancer and check up report is good. During Proton Therapy PET scan revealed I have Follicular Lymphoma also see info - https://www.cancer.net/cancer-types/lymphoma-non-hodgkin/subtypes. Watchful waiting PET scan shows it has moved into my bone marrow requiring Chemotherapy. Just completed my first round of Chemo today consisting of 2 days treatment once a month for 6 months. I am getting excellent care and feel positive about the outcome. Feeling fine but will be glad when the nausea subsides. Carla and Holly Cat are holding me close and taking good care.
Frank, these birthday numbers are getting scary! Looking forward to our next reunion which I suppose will be 2020. Stay healthy and have some fun on your birthday.
